Ultimate Fighter The Heavyweights Archives

Opening the episode…Kimbo Slice turns down the fight against James McSweeny.

Risking his credability as a fighter because he says he’s only at 40 percent with his knee.

He says it wouldn’t be fair to his family, his fans or anyone that wants to see him fight because he wouldn’t be able to give 100%.

“I never thought Kimbo Slice would turn down a fight, but I respect him for doing it.”

–Dana White

Matt Mitrione decided to fight and the doc cleared him, so it’s on with McSweeny. James says he’s READY!

Scott Junk gets some bad news. The doc says he torn his retina and might not ever fight again.

DIZZZAMN! Marcus “Big Baby” Jones straight lost it. The nicest guy in the house felt like he need to defend his friend Scott Junk because Junk might not have the chance to fight again. When Junk fought Matt Mitrione he accidently got a poke in the eye and it tore his retina.

That’s why the Doc said Junk might not ever fight again because there would be a chance he could go blind.

Marcus wanted to put the Beat Down on Matt and stated he just wanted to choke him, let him come to and then start pounding on him and then break his arm. So he could feel what Junk was going through.

Marcus “Big Baby” Jones is a guy that you want to be your friend.

Junk finds out that the surgery was a success and that he can fight again, but its not recommended.

After the weigh-ins James McSweeny looked like he was going to rip Matt Mitrione head off. Very intense weight-in and then McSweeny shoves Mitrione and starts yelling…they are broke up by teammates and coaches.

James McSweeny vs Matt Mitrione

-James comes out throwing the leg kicks and Matt is a little standoffish. McSweeny finally lands a good punch and I think that wakes Mitrione up. Mitrione came back with some good hard combos that I think dazed McSweeny.

-McSweeny quickly came inside and locked up with Mitrione and took him down. Mitrione trys to get an ankle lock, but McSweeny gets out and sets in a guillotine choke and Mitrione stands up leaving his neck exposed even more and McSweeny drops and sinks it in tight and Mitrione taps out.

Marcus Jones vs. Darril Schoonover

-Marcus comes out with a vicious leg kick and Darril throws a few jabs and then Marcus throws him down with extreme force. Marcus Jones just dominates Darril on the ground trying to get a kimura and keeps getting his ground and pound on. He eventually lands two big blows on the ground and knocks Darril out.

After the fight Marcus is very happy…he says he wants to do this for a long time and live his dream. He can’t believe he’s here fighting. He said, “If you seen my trying to throw a punch a year ago, you would laugh.”

Once again, Rashad and Rampage starts getting into it..like always, but nothing new.

The pranks continue…

Team Rampage once again pulls a prank. They paint Team Rashad’s locker room completly pink and put tons of pink stuffed animals in there with a disco ball. Rampage actually really likes one of the stuffed animals and won’t leave it alone.

Team Rashad just laughs about it when they walk in, but then Brenden Schaub says, “I have to warm up in this damn room before the fight!”

so when he tries to get out he can’t. He pretty much loses it because he said he is claustophobic and him and James start throwing bows for real. James eventually gets him in choke and starts yelling, “Calm down man.”

James McSweeny vs. Roy Nelson in the first Semi-Finals fight.

McSweeny says right before the commercial break…”You do not want to turn off your tv sets, you’ll want to see this one. Trust me!”

-McSweeny comes out controlling the Octagon and setting the pace. He lands some good shots on Roy’s chin and starts motioning Roy to bring and gets a little cocky. Roy throws a big right and stuns McSweeny and then takes him down. Roy gets him pinned down and starts landing big shots on McSweeny’s head and the Ref stops the fight.

It’s gonna be hard for anyone to get out from under Roy “Big Country” Nelson if he gets you down and gets on top of you.

Roy Nelson is the first Heavyweight going to the Finale on Dec 5th, 2009

AND…..ONCE AGAIN Rashad and Rampage get into it again….These two better put on a good fight for the trash talk they’ve been displaying.

It will be nice if one wins in a dominate fashion..like a straight knocked out cold ending, like the Henderson and Bisping coaches fight.

The tension is building for Rampage Jackson. He says he really needs Marcus to win, because he feels like he wins too. That would stop Rashad from having both fighters from his team in the Finals.

Rampage really looks nervous and he’s not even fighting.

Next Semi-Final fight was Marcus Jones vs. Brenden Schaub

-They both came out throwing blows and Marcus slammed Brenden. Then he got side control quick and then full mount. Marcus wasn’t really wasn’t letting his hands fly when he had the full mount and somehow Brenden got out and stood up.

-Marcus slips and takes a hit to the chin and then responds with a huge knee, that looked like it should have dazed Brenden, but it didn’t. Brenden came in and landed a huge right and knock Marcus down and gets on top and starts landing big shots that kncocks Marcus out.

Marcus says that this day is probably the last day he will fight because he don’t want to put his wife through it anymore.

Well, after the show they announce he decides to fight again…and guess who he’s fighting….yep you guessed it! Marcus “The Darkness” Jones vs Matt “Meathead” Mitrione.

WHOA!! You DO NOT want to miss this Saturday DEC 5TH. It’s going to be off the hook with really big fights and THEY ARE FREE ON SPIKE!!

Until then… Stay tuned for the Fight Card for the The Ultimate Fighter 10 | The Heavyweights Finale

Everyone thinks Kimbo Slice is coming back to fight James McSweeny, but does Kimbo think he will be able tocome back? Kimbo Slice is dealing with a bad knee.

He had a doctor come in and take a look at his knee and look at his MRI. The doctor says that he is missing cartilage between his bones and it’s like walking on sharp petals with out a shoe.

James McSweeney and a few other fighters make a tub full of ICE COLD water and tells Kimbo he has to get in there for a cetain amount of time without getting out. Kimbo is really having a hard time staying in there.

Marcus Jones comments, ” He can’t take that, he’s from Miami, he a tropical bother.”

Dana White comes in and gives “The Get the F*** OUTTA HERE if you don’t want to fight! Then, turns around and says he’s not calling anyone out, but then says there might be a fighting slot open because Matt not be able to fight or if he decides not to.

Dana says ” I’m not taking away from your manhood and calling you a pussy. It happens every season.”

Brenden Schaub vs Jon Madsen

It’s going down!
James McSweeny slaps Benden around yelling ” DO YOU WANT IT!” Trying to get him ready for his fight.

A boxer Schaub vs a wrestler Madsen….who’s gonna take it?

Round 1

Jon Madsen pretty much just laid on Brenden Schaub….that’s all you need to know about Round 1.

Round 2

Schaub landed some good knees and then Jon tried to take him down again, but Schaub got out of it.

Jon started wearing down a lot from all the take downs and Brenden kept grabbing the fence when Jon took him down to try to get away from it….

Brenden throws a few jabs and then throws and lands a heavy straight right and knocked Jon Madsen out.

What up TUF Maniacs!

Here we are in the semi-finals and things are still getting crazy!

Opening the episode Rashad talks about how it’s going to be hard to train 7 guys to fight each other because Rampage only has one fighter that is in the semi’s. He sits down with his fighters and tells them that it’s pretty much going to be like practice and training sessions. When it’s time to fight, Team Rashad won’t be coaching too much because it will be both of their fighters.

Matt goes to the hospital with a suspected concussion. Everybody thought he was milking it. When he got back from the hospital, Kimbo asked him if he’s alright and his only reply was, ” He rattled my brain.” Referring to Scott Junk from his previous fight.

Team Rampage continue their childish prankster ways….this time they they put 5 chickens in Team Rashad’s car. Quinton “Rampage” Jackson said, “We had them all day and fed em’ like crazy, so they would crap all in their car!”

Team Rashad finally comes to their car and is surprised by the this crazy prank. They actually take it lightly and laugh about it. Rampage feels let down because it didn’t piss them off and Team Rashad even got a better rental car out of the deal….ha ha…

Dana White pops his head in at the house to ask how Matt is feeling and if he’s going to fight. Matt starts rattling off his mumbo jumbo. Kimbo comments, “Dana showed up like a thief in the night.”

“We’ll see what the doctor say and if he clears you, then you can fight.” Dana says.

The fighters say this fight..Roy Nelson vs. Justin Wren is a tough one to call…..

Roy said something like, “It’s going to be hard to fight him because they became good friends and to take his dream away from him is tough, but you gotta do it.”

Lets Get It ON!

Round 1

A few jabs here and there from both fighters, but then Justin puts on a flury of combos and catches Roy with a nice right and hurts him a little, so Roy grabs him and holds on.

The ref separates them….

Roy finally puts together a few combos and Justin’s coaches keep telling him to circle right and keep his hands up.

Justin’s corner tells him that he won that round.

Round 2

Justin comes out with some jabs and a few leg kicks. Justin starts throwing haymakers for the fence and his corner says
“NO! Use your head!”

Roy comes alive and keeps landing combos and Justin continues with the leg kicks. It looks like it will go to round 3!

Everyone said they thought it was going to go to the 3rd round, but when you leave it in the hands of the judges…you never know what’s going to happen.

Ultimate Fighter 10: Heavyweight Quarter Finals

Dana White called the coaches Rampage Jackson and Rashad Evans in to discuss who should fight in the quarter finals.

Roy Nelson first talks to all three of them and starts analyzing every fighter, but Dana interrupts him. Dana says, “Your fight wasn’t that exciting, you said you were coming to win this thing, but you didn’t impress me at all!”

Roy responds with, ” I have to win 3 fights, I’m doing just what I have to do to win and in the Finals you will see me really fight!”

Dana lets Rampage pick his only fight and he wants Marcus “Big Baby”Jones to fight Darill “Titties” Schoonove.

Rashad is extremely upset because he believes Rampage should have to earn that right and he didn’t do that.

Quarter Final Match ups:

Roy Nelson vs. Justin Wren

Brenden Schaub vs. Jon Madsen

James McSweeny vs. Matt Matrione

Marcus Jones vs. Darill Schoonove

……Oh by the way….in the upcoming episode Matt Matione goes to the hospital for his head….Will Kimbo get that second chance he is very very eager to get.

We will see! Next Wed!

What up Ultimate Fighting Maniacs!

Team Rampage finally got their first win with “Big Baby” Marcus Jones or should I say Marcus “The Darkness” when he enters the octagon. Marcus got Team Rampage their first and only win against Team Rashad by defeating Mike Wessel with an armbar.

Yes, I said an arm bar! “Big Baby” putting down the arm bar…..I didn’t think he had those moves in his arsenal.

A recap of the episode:

The Ultimate Fighter 10: The Heavyweights Episode 8

The episode opens with Rampage talking about losing his team and tearing apart the door and feeling embarrassed by his actions, but laughing say he might tear down some walls next.

Rashad Evans comments on an episode interview saying Rampage is just a fool!

Wes Sims the house jokester decides to throw Matt M. a victory party by spraying silly string on him while he was sleeping…repeating…CELEBRATE…CELEBRATE!

Rashad Evans gives Mike Wessel advice before the fight with Marcus Jones and told him to just let his hands fly. He told him not to try to take Marcus down and use his heavy hands against Marcus.

Marcus gives his philosophy on why he loves fighting compared to the NFL. He said he was able to play in the NFL because of his size, but really didn’t love and think about football all the time. He said he could watch fighting all day long and loves every minute of it.

Marcus said, ” I don’t want to be remember as a ex NFL player, but as a hell of a fighter!

Big Baby” Shows “The Darkness”

Some members of Team Rashad made a character drawing of Marcus Jones and under it someone put “SUCKS BALLS”. That little comment and drawing let the darkness out of Marcus Jones. Marcus said when he found out who did it, he was going to rip their arm off and take it home.

Kimbo Slice is feeling a little vulunable because he’s not able to be there and protect his family. He said, “It’s hard, really hard”!

The quarter finals are next!
